The toughest race in the Backyard Burn series delivered another classic Sunday. Hemlock Overlook’s mix of gravel road start, narrow singletrack, creekside rock gardens, and constant elevation changes gave runners the full trail running experience — technical, beautiful, and never boring.

After a windy night and light rain, the trails settled into perfect late-fall conditions: cool sun, damp leaves, and fast footing under the canopy. Three small wave starts helped space things out early, but the course did what Hemlock always does — it made you earn every mile.

All race photos are now online, free to download and searchable by bib number, with an additional gallery of unidentified runners for anyone whose bib wasn’t visible on course.
