Adventure racing returned to Fountainhead Regional Park for the 2025 edition of VentureQuest, and what a day it was. Under clear skies and perfect fall conditions, teams tackled 5- and 8-hour courses packed with trekking, mountain biking, paddling, and navigation challenges.

From early morning map plotting to the final checkpoint punch, the race delivered the best of what adventure racing is all about — strategy, endurance, and teamwork.

Swim Bike Run Photo was proud to capture the spirit of the day as athletes raced across trails, ridgelines, and the waters of the Occoquan Reservoir.
